Am Freitag den 13.08.2010 veranstaltet der Freie Jugendclub Büschfeld das vierte Umsonst & Draussen Festival in Büschfeld.
Nicht wie gewohnt findet das Festival im Pinnepark statt sondern, auf dem Festplatz vor unserem neuen Jugendclub an der Schlossberghalle.

THE BANDGEEK MAFIA

“You have to have the ability to cry and laugh at the same moment – only then you are able to understand our music.“

Sticking to this motto, the band called THE BANDGEEK MAFIA declared war to the narrow-minded reality of musical philosophy. To give Ska music a completely new and extraordinary interesting shape, however unusual it may be on the first glimpse. They cleverly combine sticking melodies, powerful riffs, excellent brass and aggressive shouts and can in that way uplift themselves from a lot of bands coming from that genre. Though mixing ska music with emo elements seems to be capital sin for some guys, THE BANDGEEK MAFIA proves strikingly that such a fusion arrests one’s attention and intoxicates. The Selftitled EP (Released 2005 DIY) being promoted as a free download in the web attracted 15.000 users to get a copy.

„The Bandgeek Mafia“ already played over 200 concerts in the last 5 years across Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Austria & Switzerland! They were on tour till August 2006 when they recorded the first full length album, including 12 new songs at the Farida Studios near Bremen(GER) with Producer Uli Wortmann. The Debut Album “PAINT YOUR TARGET” was released in April and June 2007 on LONG BEACH RECORDS EUROPE/808 RECORDS – LEECH REDDA MUSIC SWITZERLAND & ASHCAN RECORDS LUXEMBOURG/FRANCE! Since the Release of *Paint Your Target* the band sold over 1.500 copies! In conclusion there..s just one advice left: Visit this band at one of their liveshows. The Band recorded in July 2009 their new Album “No Disguise” @ Tonstudio 45 in Koblenz together with producer KURT EBELHÄUSER (BLACKMAIL, SCUMBUCKET) – Release in Feb. 2010 on Long Beach Records Europe // Broken Silence. Their new Single “About Beasts & Lovers” (including 2 Tracks of the new Album + 1 exclusiv Non Album Track) will be released on 04.09.2009 and is available on their live shows and the online Shop of Long Beach Records Europe. In Feb. 2010 The Bandgeek Mafia supported REEL BIG FISH on their Germany Tour before they released the 2. Album “No Disguise” on Long Beach Records Europe // Broken Silence on 19.02.2010!

PARACHUTES

Parachutes are playing their Post-Hardcore tunes in the current line-up since 2004.

They supported bands like Bullet for my Valentine (UK), Taking back Sunday (US), The Used (US), Rise against (US), Underoath (US), Alesana (US), Caliban, Callejon, Boysetsfire (US), From autumn to ashes (US), Callejon (D), Silverstein (CAN), A Skylit Drive (US), Bury Tomorrow UK (UK)Aiden (US), the blackout (GB), Hand to Hand (US), Across five Aprils (US), On the last day (US), Scars of tomorrow (US), Waterdown, Fire in the Attic!

Festivalshows with Killswitch Engage, Sick of it All, Donots, Fettes Brot, Alexisonfire, Moneen, Randy, Maxeen or Blackmail and hundreds of others.

After a lot of touring europe the band released their first full length record “And I won’t stop until you’ve lost everything you ever loved” on UKs Lockjaw Records in 2006. With awesome reviews by the well known music-press (Kerrang, Big Cheese, Visions, Ox, Greenhell) As a two times winner of the Ernie Ball Battle of the bands (in 2006 and 2007) Parachutes played the Rockstar Taste of chaos – Tour in Munich and Saarbrücken.

The year 2008 was the year of the dawning of „vultures“ the current full length record of Parachutes (out on Redfield records / Cargo on the 15th february 08) With Phil Hillen (SU2 Studios Illingen / Powerwolf) as their producer and Troy Glessner (Spectre Studios / Norma Jean, Underoath, He is legend / Beloved / Emery / Haste the day) for the mastering Parachutes brought their music to a new level. The Artwork is provided by Mark Krämer of ME23 (Deadlock, Caliban, Fear my thoughts)

But Parachutes had more in mind for 2009. After the succes of vultures and a lot of touring it was again time to set the sights on new songs and a new record. A bit rougher, a bit darker, a bit dirtier with an more mature sound. That is “the working horse” Parachutes always considered themselves not as the shining star of the team but as the hard working defender who plays for the team. Keep your eyes and ears open for the new and upcoming record “the working horse” out on Redfield Records on September 25th 2009. TALETALLERS

Formed in the summer of 2005 (out of the ashes of the Hard Rock band Taletellers Soulsellers), TALETELLERS played consistently for a year in and around South Western Germany. In 2006 the quartet put out the self-produced four song EP „The Missiles of Mercy“ which received without exception very good reviews in the rock and metal press.

While they continued to play live, TALETELLERS began writing new material fortheir first full lenght CD in the spring of 2007. Fueled by the energy of Hard Rock n’ Roll the band perfected their sound by adding more Thrash and Metal to the mix, creating the Taletellers formula: an insane symbiosis of Thrash Metal, 1980′s Heavy Metal and Rock n’ Roll.

The band entered SU2 Studio in October 2007, the place where also Powerwolf’s „Lupus Dei“ was created and recorded 10 songs – the result is „Detonator“.

„Detonator“ is the first full lenght CD of TALETELLERS and contains 10 tracks which hit you straight in the face without mercy. Influenced by bands as diverse as Turbonegro, Megadeth, W.A.S.P., Danko Jones, Metallica and Iron Maiden, the sound of Taletellers is unique and combines what all of these bands have in common: it punches you right in the nuts!

Just as the cover art of “The Missiles of Mercy” the artwork for „Detonator“ was once again designed by Mark Wilkinson (Judas Priest “Painkiller” and new album “Nostradamus”).

A new version of the internet hit and already classic Taletellers track „Bad Motherfucker“ will also be included on „Detonator“ and songs like „Ride the Peril“, „Mean Machine“, „Götterdämmerung“ and „Vendetta (Riding the Devil)“ speak for themselves.

In May 2008 TALETELLERS signed a record deal with Cologne based label Hammersound (Bonafide, Five Fifteen) and a worldwide publishing deal with Hamburg based company AMV-Talpa.

The debut album “Detonator” will be released throughout Europe on September 26, 2008! The album will be distributed by Point Music in Germany.

There will also be an official worldwide download-release of the 2006 EP “The Missiles of Mercy” on June 27, 2008!

ENDLESS VOID

Endless Void existiert nun mehr seit 2 Jahren. Offizielle Bandgründung war am Merziger Viezfest 2007 , damals von Florian Bock (Vocals) und Matthias Barthel (Schlagzeug). Bis Januar nächsten Jahres hatten Dominik Reinert (Gitarre) , Johannes Heinrich (Gitarre) und Mareike Lauer (Violine) zur Band gefunden. Das erste Material entstand und am 15. März 2008 wurde der erste Gig im evangelischen Jugendkeller absolviert. Michele Lipari , der in Johanne’s anderer Band “I Killed My Dear” Schlagzeug spielte , sah Endless Void und vervollständigte das Line Up als Basser.

In der Folgezeit hat die Band sich auf ihre Live Präsenz konzentriert und mehrere Konzerte gegeben. Ab dem Winter 2008 sind wir dann ins Studio und haben angefangen unsere EP mit 7 eigenen Titeln aufzunehmen. Unser Produzent war Sebastian Jager (Magnorya) , dem wir an dieser Stelle nochmals danken möchten. Die Aufnahmen zogen sich leider etwas in die Länge , sodass die CD erst am Viezfest 2009 fertig wurde. Während der Aufnahmen absolvierten wir nebenbei noch ein paar Konzerte. Absolutes Highlight war für uns unser Auftritt auf dem Rock Area Metal Battle 2009. Wir haben vor Hunderten die Eisenbahnhalle unmittelbar vor Sodom zum Beben gebracht und das Publikum hat es uns mit dem Dritten Platz gedankt (Platz 1 ging verdient an Godslave).

Nach unserem Auftritt auf dem Metal Battle kam es immer wieder zu bandinternen Streitigkeiten mit unserem Shouter , sodass wir ihn August 2009 rauswarfen. Er gab mit uns 12. September sein Abschiedskonzert im Jugendkeller. Es haben sich Leute zu seiner Nachfolge beworben , allerdings hat niemand unseren Ansprüchen entsprochen bzw. blieb durch terminliche Probleme den Proben fern. Nach 4 Monaten war die Band in einer perspektivlosen Situation. Spontan griff unser Bassist sich das Mikro und bewies sein verborgenes Talent zu Shouten. Alle waren sich einig ihne fortan als Fronter zu nehmen. Dadurch wurde der Posten des Bassers frei. Für Mick rückte nun Mike Franzen , ein Freund der Band als Bassist nach. Nun wird die Band sich 2010 wieder vollends dem Songwriting und der Live-Präsenz widmen….

GODSLAVE

DEVILTRAX

„Hier wird Metal nicht neu erfunden. Hier wird einfach nur teuflisch gute Musik gemacht“ Unter diesem Motto gründen Ende 2008 im idyllischen Saarland Sascha Schwulera (Gitarre), Peter Fasold-Schwulera (Bass), Mark Schwulera (Schlagzeug) und Volker Thiry (Gitarre) die damals noch namenlose Band. Beim ersten Songwriting fügen sich die verschiedenen musikalischen Einflüsse der Bandmitglieder mit einem unglaublichen Selbstverständnis zusammen. Es entstehen progressive Thrash-Metal-Tiraden wie Klaus Kinski auf Speed, die beim empfindsamen Hörer durchaus mal das Bedürfnis auslösen können, sich in die Embryonalstellung zu begeben. Komplettiert wird die Band Anfang 2009 durch Sänger Alex, der mit seinem kraftvollen Gesang dem Ganzen den letzten Schliff verleiht. Nachdem die kräftezehrende Phase des Songwritings im Juni 2009 vorerst abgeschlossen ist, nimmt Deviltrax, nun auch nicht mehr namenlos, in Zusammenarbeit mit Patrick Naumann (Comatron, Hardcut) die erste Demo-CD auf. Nach einigen regionalen Auftritten trennt man sich Ende 2009 wieder von Alex. Doch adäquater Ersatz ist schnell gefunden: Thorsten „Deichi“ Maring bringt mit seinem cleanen, melodiösen und abwechslungsreichen Gesang neue Impulse. Auch die “alten” Demos erstrahlen durch die neu eingesungene Gesangsspur in neuem Glanz. Und so wird unter altem Motto und mit neuem Sänger richtig durchgestartet…
